Legislative District Chairs Print E-mail
The county party leadership is moving ahead with building the organization of the party.  One of the problems we’ve encountered is there is not enough coordination between the precinct chairs and the party leadership as well as coordination between precinct chairs and candidates.  To alleviate this problem, we’re creating a new position: legislative district chair.

The person who holds this position will be responsible for building precinct organizations and mobilizing the party organization in that legislative district in support of the legislative district candidate.  The legislative district chair will be a vital link in a legislative district for recruiting candidates, registering new Democrats, stimulating Democrats to help with candidate campaigns, and working with the party leadership.

We’re delighted that several people have agreed to serve as legislative district chairs.  They are as follows:

District Chair
27 Roger Dixon
58 Gary Johnson
60 Bethanie Newby
61 Blair Bateman
62 Radene Hatfield
63 George Handley
64 Scott Ferrin
66 Kenneth Payne

Larry Brown, the vice chair, has recruited these individuals to serve and is working to complete the list of legislative district chairs within the next few weeks. Thanks to all these people for their willingness to help make the Democratic Party viable again in Utah County.
