As I approach the six month mark serving as chair of the county party and all of us enter the Thanksgiving season, I reflect on the progress we've made in organizing the party, raising money, and preparing for next year's campaign.  It is time to give thanks.

I am grateful for those who are volunteering their time to make a difference in changing politics and public policy in this county and this state.  So many people are doing many tasks across a variety of areas within the party.  It is wonderful to see this happen.

My thanks particularly go to the executive officers I get to serve with - Larry, Hinckley, and Kristin. They have given many hours of service to build the party.  I am grateful for their respective roles in this venture of revitalizing the Democratic party in Utah County. Please express your thanks to them when you see them.  They deserve it.

I am also grateful to the legislative district chairs who have accepted the task of organizing legislative districts, working with candidates, and reaching out to voters in the districts across this county.  They are vital to the organizational strength we will need to win back legislative seats and send a Democrat to the Congress to represent us.

My thanks also go to the committee chairs who have taken over areas such as research, publicity, technology, events, fundraising, and various outreach functions.  They have already made a difference in increasing our donations, creating this newsletter, organizing party events, raising our public profile, and many other successes.

And I also want to express my appreciation to the many committee members and precinct chairs who already have, and yet will, be the activists who make us viable again.  Thanks to all who participate in growing the party.  It is honor to be able to work with you.
