I am running to help Utah County take back the legislature for our citizens. Out current legislators are not listening to the majority of their constituents, either Republican or Democrat. I want to help bring ethics in government, create a strong support for our public education system, protect our citizens'right to be fairly heard in state committee meetings and in using the iniative and referendum, protect local government from micromanaging by the state legislature, bring an immediate focus on our health care coverage and cost issues, bring meaningful protection of our air and environment (including energy policies and mass transit) for us today and our children and grandchildren tomorrow, and finally reexamine our state tax structure and the recent attempt to have local School Districts partially pick up a here-to-fore state expenditure for Charter Schools.
